On July 4th I spent some time painting. This is why I rarely get manicures.
These images do show something significant about my painting process – there is a lot of paint on the canvas. Each piece I create is painted with palette knives in an impasto technique, so they are very textured. Each painting is built up in layers, with each layer drying before the next is applied. The result is a piece that appears almost three dimensional, and in most cases, has paint that stands off the canvas. Take a look at the work on my site, and you will see how this feature has translated even though the images.
More to come!
