I am happy to announce that this piece “Grateful Praise” is now available for purchase on meagdesign.com! This piece was inspired by a field of wildflowers, which blossoms through summer and early autumn not far from the town that I live in. Its beauty always reminds me of how nature is clothed in splendor in praise to out Creator. While this piece is not seasonally applicable, I felt its inspiration and context was relevant to this season of thanksgiving.
Each and every day, we have so much to be grateful for in this life. However, at times life demands, struggles, and worries give more room for an attitude of defeat than a heart of thanks. In the midst of busyness and pressures, we forget to simply pause and give thanks, for all that God has done, and continues to do in our lives.
There are times in life that it is truly arduous to offer praise and thanks to God. When we are struggling and weary, we may not feel like it. Or perhaps, we feel like God has let us down. He seems distant, and we begin to believe that He must not really care about what is troubling us. Painful life blows and losses can send our faith spiraling.
What makes a lasting difference? We have a choice, every day, to give thanks to our Creator- the One who commands our hearts to beat and lungs to breathe. With a grateful spirit, we realize that no matter what we face, God not only works to change our situations and help us through our adversities, but also transforms our hearts. His power, through hearts of grateful praise, releases the grip our struggles have over us. We are strengthened by His peace, replenished by His joy.
